Do I need a patent attorney in Warsaw to file a mark with EUIPO?
No. EUIPO is an EU office based in Alicante and the entire procedure takes place online. The location of the firm is irrelevant — what matters is experience in European proceedings. Our clients in Warsaw have exactly the same access to our services as companies in Łódź.
How do I secure a startup’s IP before a funding round?
We start with an audit: what the company owns — code, name, logo, UX — and what is missing. We then register the key trademarks, tidy up the assignment of copyright in agreements with developers and prepare an IP report for investors. The whole process takes two to four weeks.
How much does protecting an e-commerce brand cost in Poland and the EU?
Trademark registration at the Polish Patent Office starts at PLN 400 for one class, and at EUIPO from EUR 850, covering 27 EU countries. Each additional class costs in the region of PLN 120 (Polish Patent Office) or EUR 150 (EUIPO). For e-commerce brands we often recommend an EU filing — a single mark protects the brand across the entire European market. Our fee is agreed individually and always in advance.
