How to recover part of your IP registration costs through the SME Fund

6 January 2026

For several years now, thanks to the EU initiative known as the SME Fund, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises have been able to obtain real financial support for protecting intellectual property. Check its availability.

It is an excellent opportunity to secure your brand or product at significantly lower cost.

What does the SME Fund offer?

The programme provides:

  • reimbursement of up to 75% of official fees for filing trademarks and industrial designs in Poland and at European Union level,
  • reimbursement of 50% of official fees for filing marks and designs with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

The total grant can reach EUR 700.

What does the procedure look like?

The procedure is straightforward, but the order of the steps is critical:

  • Obtaining the decision granting the funding
  • Filing the trademark or industrial design application
  • Paying the official fees
  • Submitting the reimbursement request

Funds are transferred directly to the company account.
